Ways of Working: Hybrid-Working Model
We're committed to cultivating an inclusive, hybrid work environment. We work in-person and virtually, as is best suited for our clients, teams and people. PwC offices are hubs of connectivity and learning. We strongly encourage our people to prioritize in-person work, whether it’s in the office or at a client site. We know that hybrid work is all about balance and we want you to be intentional with your work, how you do it and where it’s done.

Vacation, holidays and floater days
Taking time off work is integral to wellbeing, sustained productivity and high performance. Taking a break reduces stress and helps you relax.
Vacation entitlement is based on a calendar year and prorated from your hire date:
Less than ten years: 15 days
10+ years or manager and higher level: 20 days
20+ years: 25 days
In addition to the observance of provincial statutory holidays, you’ll have three additional floater days annually to help you manage your personal commitments. The total number of statutory and floater holidays per year will vary by office (depending on the provincial requirements for that location). For instance, an associate or senior associate with less than ten years of service would be entitled to up to 32/33* total annual paid days off:

Here is how our people build their own experience at PwC Canada

Honestly, I proudly flaunt the fact that since I joined PwC three years ago, I have never had to miss a single Friday prayer because of how flexibly we work.

Haider Iqbal

I immersed myself as much as I could in the Global Mobility opportunity. I visited Argentina and met new people. There’s so much to learn about the culture and the city. This was a once in a lifetime opportunity!

Frédéric Pépin

I joined the firm in 2007 as an administrative assistant and advanced to a team lead role. In 2014, an opportunity opened up for me to support the Consulting strategy in Montréal. Eventually, my passion for optimizing processes and teaching new systems led me to join the Workday team, where I am now a Functional Architect and Product Lead. Looking back, I can see exactly how my experiences and encounters at PwC shaped my career path. I’m grateful for all the opportunities that have come my way.

Cynthia Hargray

For the last 3 years, I have been on an 80% reduced schedule which allows me to balance my professional goals and family commitments as a mother of three active children. I am also able to contribute to my community as a Board member for several not-for-profit organizations that are close to my heart.

Samu Chitsike

The International Remote Work program is a massive advantage as my significant other is studying abroad in Dublin. I’m able to visit him for longer periods of time and still manage to work. It really feels like a privilege to have the ability to utilize this program so that I can see the important people in my life!
